How does it work?
After you have made contact with me – you will receive a booking form. Once this is filled in and sent back to me a £50.00 non refundable deposit is required to secure your due date.
At 37 weeks you will receive your chiller pack with everything you need to store your placenta safely.
Once in labour you will need to let me know via text or phone call (anytime day or night). Then get your birth partner to let me know once baby has arrived (ensure you have given them my number). Your placenta will be collected within 8 hours of you giving birth and your capsules will be delivered to you within 48 hours of collection.
Please inform your midwife as soon as you can, that you are encapsulating your placenta, this will enable them to deal with your placenta in safest way possible.
What are some of the benefits of having my placenta encapsulated?
Some of the benefits of placenta encapsulation are:
-Increased milk supply
-Decreases your chance of developing post natal depression or the baby blues.
-Contains vital hormones and vitamins such as B6 and E
-Increase in oxytocin
-Increase in iron levels
-Increase in energy levels
-Decrease in stress hormones
Will the hospital let me keep my placenta?
Yes, your placenta is legally your property. As a result of how popular placenta encapsulation has become most hospitals are very familiar with the processes involved and what is required of them.
Can I have my placenta encapsulated if I have a C-Section?
Yes, placenta encapsulation can still go ahead.

What method of encapsulation should I choose?
There are two methods of encapsulation.
The simple method involves dehydrating the placenta from its raw state. This way, the pills are said to have a very strong energy release.
The steamed method involves, as the name suggests, steaming the placenta first and then placing it in the dehydrator. This way the pills have a softer energy release.
Does it have to be my own placenta?
Yes, our service is only available to the person whose placenta we are encapsulating.
What reasons can you not encapsulate a placenta?
If you have a uterine infection, any blood borne conditions such as HIV Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, if the placenta has been stored incorrectly and if you have smoked during your pregnancy.
